I give private lessons only for certain select students. I prefer to teach a student under the auspices of the University of New Orleans because I feel they can receive a more complete and thorough musical education there. However, sometimes accessing the facilities of UNO is impractical. I am always happy to give a mini-lesson as part of a recruiting visit to the UNO campus during Fall or Spring semester. I will also consider giving one time lessons when I travel. I am always looking for potential students for the UNO Jazz Studies Department. Places I travel to frequently are Florida, Blacksburg, VA, the metro Washington, DC area; Pittsburgh, PA (my hometown!); Chicago, IL; New York, NY; and once every two years or so I travel to Europe. If a student is really talented, I am willing to help them overcome any barriers financial or otherwise in order to have a chance to study with me. Please contact me for more details.
